Information needed to understand the problem.

3.Information needed to understand the problem.

What we need to understand the problem at hand is look at past energy sources we have used and get an estimite of how much longer those sources will last for us. By doing this it will give us a time frame of how long we have to come up with a solution to find an alternite usable energy source that is equily or more efficient than the previous one.

2. Creating an exact statement of the problem?

the problem for the us is that we are mainly dependant on non-renewable resources but, we will eventually run out and we need to start cutting down on them but we cant becuase our techonolgy isn't great enough yet to stop using fossil fuel and stuff like that because we wouldnt have enough energy.

Susainable Energy

1.Determine whether a problem exists

There is a problem with the US energy constumtion. We have been depending on to much of energy that is nonrewable. So in 2007 our energy consumption for nonrewable resources was 94.3%. With the ice caps melting and our earth heating up time is running out of the earths life. We must change our ways by providing a healther place for trees, animals and people to live and reproduce.

Solutions

5. Generate possible solutions

One way we can make the switch to using renewable resources is by first cutting back on the amount we use. In 2008 US corporates bought more than 2.8 MWh of Green-e certified renewable energy last year. Last year we used 2.7 MWh Green-e and in 2006 we only used 114,000 MWh. By using more renewables we are being the change in the world. In the next 10 years we can save oil for the future. Also we can give money to reseach so new technolgy and also using 10% renewable resource by 2012 and 25% by 2025. These is the plan Obama has set up tell 2025 so we will not run out in the next 15 years.

This picture shows that we are caring more about money oil and cars then keeping our world clean safe and liveable for use.
